When looking for Havanese, there appears to be 3 distinct looking dogs. There is the American Havanese, the Cuban Havanese, and Silk Havanese. Mia has both the Cuban and Hungarian (silk) lines in her pedigree. She is more silky. Mia is dual registered as a AKC Havanese and a HSDAA Havana Silk Dog. Mia is a very independent yet very loyal dog. She follows me from room to room and is happy laying in her crate or right next to me. She can't be too close to her people! She is extremely smart and she is an instigator!  She loves to run and uses that to her advantage. When she wants to play with our other dogs, she will pounce on them. When they decide to get her back she runs like heck and hides behind anyone who will 'protect' her. Mia loves to play with kids. She could run, play and jump with them all day.
